For the past six weeks, the memorable works of twelve Filipino-American Los Angeles professional photographers, videographers, and photojournalists were on exhibit at the La Habra Art Gallery. The participating photographers are officers and members of the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NJUP) – US Chapter, F7 Photo Club, and the Filipino American Press Club of California. The show was able to generate close to $2,000 in gallery gross sales and worldwide exposure. The participants would like to turn in the gross proceeds of the show to the Gallery and award the photograph by Benny Uy, “Downtown L.A. at 6:22 a.m.” to the winning bidder during the reception. Part of the proceeds of the show will be donated to the educational needs of the children of slain journalists in the Philippines.
